PROJECT COMPASSION
Each year our students support the work of Caritas in striving to bring justice and hope to those in most need. Throughout Lent each House has been organising fundraisers for Project Compassion - these have included Holy Cross has Talent, cake stalls and a dress up day for the Early Learning Centre. Student Leaders have also organised Caritas cafe to raise awareness about other countries. Laura and Jamie Evans have again done an incredible job in organising a raffle for Project Compassion. They have been around to businesses in Ellenbrook and the Swan Valley and have assembled some fantastic hampers to raffle. I encourage parents to support this raffle - tickets available in the College Office. We'll done and thank you to Laura and Jamie on their efforts.
ACC SWIMMING CARNIVAL
Congratulations to our ACC Swimming Squad who won the G division swimming carnival. In addition to the overall shield, HCC also won the overall girls and the junior girls divisions.
EARLY LEARNING CENTRE
The Early Learning Centre students were treated to a visit by a helicopter and ambulance this week. There was great excitement as the helicopter landed on the oval. Thanks to Mr Peter Vagg and his team for organising this exciting.
Artist, Nic Compton, is working on our public art for the playground of the Early Learning Centre. The inclusion of Public Art is a requirement of the City of Swan. The wood carving is looking magnificent. When completed it will be a piece of art which carries our story and provides some wonderful opportunities for children's play.
