Money raised from the Sleep Out will go to LifeLink, the Catholic community based social welfare agencieswhich respond compassionately to anyone in need. To date we have collected over $7000, a fantastic effort.
it was very appropriate that today is the feast Day of Mary MaxKillope, Mary's motto was 'Never See a Need Without Doing Something Anout It'. Through our annual Sleep Out our school community are able to make at least a small response to the issue of homelessness. We gathered as a school community to celebrate the Feast Day of Mary MacKillop led by our Junior School students. At the end of the liturgy students who had slept out shared their stories of what their experiences and had learned. The news video of the night captured footage of the Sleep Ou and reflections of students on the experience.
Our College Vision is "A Community of Transformation in the Spirit of the Risen Christ. Mary MaxKillop is a wonderful role model of a woman who though her life transformed the life of many people and whose legacy lives on today. Hopefully the experience of the Sleep Out will inspire our students to make their own contribution to transformation in their own lives - to never see a need without doing something about it.
